Fifth Year in a Row!  Comfort Keepers of Northwest Illinois and Southern Wisconsin Honored With

Rockford, IL   --  For the fifth year in a row, Comfort Keepers® Northwest Illinois and Southern Wisconsin area is honored  to be the recipient of two awards from Home Care Pulse®:  the 2017 “Best of Home Care Provider of Choice” and the 2017 Best of Home care  “Employer of Choice”, and  “Leader of Excellence.”  
Agencies with the highest quality receive the 2017 Best of Home Care Award® from Home Care Pulse, the leading quality assurance firm for home care. This award is based on third-party client satisfaction scores from several categories, including Compassion, Work Ethic, Communication, and Training. To qualify for the Best of Home Care Award®, agencies must first enroll in the Home Care Pulse Quality Management Program and become Home Care Pulse Certified™ for six months or longer. Comfort Keepers of Rockford and the NW Illinois area has proven that they provide the highest level of quality, professionalism, and expertise in home care.

About Our Location

Hello. We are Mark Podemski and Lucretia Ristin.  We decided to acquire this business at the end of 2016 as a result of Mark seeing first hand the challenges his mother and grandmother faced in needing help with health issues in order to remain in their homes in which they had lived for many years. We chose to join Comfort Keepers because of the strong reputation this location has earned over the 15 years it has been in the community and the extensive resources available from its international parent, Sodexo. We are committed to providing compassionate and respectful non-medical home care to seniors and others needing assistance. Our goal is to assist people to stay comfortably and safely in their own homes for as long as possible.

We promised to be available 24 hours, 7 days a week.

That means that if a client is being discharged now and will need home care in a matter of hours, Comfort Keepers will be there. It means that if at the last minute, night, weekends, a client or their family needs help, Comfort Keepers will be there. We also vowed to do the most thorough of background checks of our employees to provide peace of mind to our clients. We want them to know that whoever is caring for them or their loved one is reliable, caring and honest. Before bonding our caregivers we check their previous work history, as well as credit, motor vehicle and nationwide criminal background checks..

Since opening more than 15 years ago, our client base has evolved to need more care and we have expanded both our services and our service area to meet those needs. Because of this, we added personal care to our homemaking/companion care services. What started as one office in 2001 in our home has now grown to three territories covering an area serving DeKalb, Boone, Winnebago, Ogle, Stephenson and Lee counties. We have over 80 employees. In spite of this growth, we still take the time to treat each client and Comfort Keeper as the special person they are.

We are always available to our clients to answer questions or chat. Stop in and see us. The goal of so many of our clients is to be able to remain in their home for the rest of their lives. That is our goal too for all of our clients.  This goal is how we live our company mission:  Our mission is to provide the highest quality of in-home care services for our valued clients so that they can enjoy a more enriched, comfortable, and safe life in their own home.

Anne’s mother lived to be 101 years old and had Comfort Keepers keeping her mentally active, and physically safe for the last 6 years of her life.

Our Services range from companionship/homemaker services to personal care which includes transfers, incontinence care and bathing. We can design a care plan that will provide for our clients needs with as little or as much time as is appropriate.

Families choose Comfort Keepers for different reasons. For some, it is for extensive care. For others they may need minimal assistance with activities of daily living to prevent accidents or exhaustion before they become issues. For family members who provide regular care, we can provide “respite care” to give them a much needed break.
